Hope View School Art Challenge

Each term we will post a new challenge as part of learning in-school, home learning and building a creative Hope View School community

Art for Display Challenge

The winners of our Art for Display Challenge are: Alfie S, Alfie H, Bryce and Shaugn. Congratulations boys, you have won a Head Teachers Award! We are investigating having these winning entries printed onto canvas for display in our Lower School staff room. We are sure that these lovely pictures will brighten-up the space and inspire all our staff!
We have now completed making our Christmas tree decorations and decorated our tree for the St Mary’s Church, Chilham Christmas Tree Festival. We were made very welcome by the Friends of St Mary’s Church and the boys who decorated the tree had a wonderful afternoon. They all behaved with Brotherhood and Peace as we would expect and were treated to biscuits and their own personal tour of the church.
The Christmas Tree Festival is open to the public from 1st – 12th December, please find more details here Friends of St Mary’s Church Chilham ( It would be lovely to see some of our parents and carers visiting and supporting the event.
In other news, we have recently enjoyed World War Two day at the Lower School and we have now booked Indepen-dance | Opportunity through inclusive dance for a one-off event in January. Standby for more exciting Artsmark plans, creativity, and events in the New Year.

We are in the process of working towards Artsmark accreditation as well as expanding our Arts curriculum. Throughout the school year, a variety of projects and events will take place including a weekly Art Challenge.
