Hope View School Art Challenge

Each Tuesday we will post a new challenge as part of learning in-school, home learning and building a creative Hope View School community.

Art Challenge for the Summer Holidays!

The Art Challenge for our summer holidays is Mosaic Magic.  We have learned about mosaics in our History lessons on the Romans and Ancient Greeks, but mosaics are still a versatile and accessible artform today. You could use paper, cloth, broken pottery or shells to create your mosaic, which could be on any subject.  Why not create a mosaic picture of a summer activity, pet or family member? See our examples here for some ideas.
Send your entries to for a chance to win a Head Teacher’s Award and have your Art displayed here.

Congratulation to our winners of this term’s Art Challenge, Puppetry Pandemonium. Will, Liam and James all contributed wooden spoon puppets, using textiles and collage resources to create detailing. They have each won a Head Teacher’s Award.

We are in the process of working towards Artsmark accreditation as well as expanding our Arts curriculum. Throughout the school year, a variety of projects and events will take place including a weekly Art Challenge.
