Hope View School Art Challenge

Each Tuesday we will post a new challenge as part of learning in-school, home learning and building a creative Hope View School community.

Art Challenge for week beginning 7th September

This term’s Art Challenge is about Art for Display.  In the Lower School we have a very empty staff room and a hall and stairs that need some colour and interest too.  In the Upper School we have a reception and corridor that could be used to display some of our Art. Your challenge is to create Art that shows the best of Hope View School and adds colour and interest to these school areas that welcome our visitors. You could also think of what Art teachers might enjoy looking at in the staff room.
In the Lower School we have been learning about watercolour painting and making collages using photos of our faces. In the Upper School some boys have been learning about design in costume and architecture. You could be inspired by these things or by something completely different.
Entries should be sent to by Monday 18th October. Some of the winning entries will be chosen for display and you could receive a Head Teacher’s Award.

We are in the process of working towards Artsmark accreditation as well as expanding our Arts curriculum. Throughout the school year, a variety of projects and events will take place including a weekly Art Challenge.
