Hope View School Art Challenge

Each Tuesday we will post a new challenge as part of learning in-school, home learning and building a creative Hope View School community.

Art Challenge for Week Beginning Tuesday 30th March 2021

Our Next Art Challenge will run through the Easter holiday and is called “A Crown for an Easter out of Lockdown”.  It has been a long-standing tradition to wear something new for Easter. This was often a hat of some kind and your challenge to make a hat or crown to wear while celebrating Easter.  This week’s example is made of small branches and plants woven together to form a simple crown.  Perhaps you would like to use carboard, collage or origami.  You could modify a hat that you already have or make your own example of a design that you’ve seen.  Please send photos of your entries to by the end of Monday 19th March. Winners will have their art displayed on the school website and receive a Head Teacher’s award.
The winners of last week’s challenge, “The New Scream” are Alix and Mason.  Both boys chose cardboard and wax crayons to produce their artwork.  Thank you boys, you have both won a Head Teacher’s Award.

We are in the process of working towards Artsmark accreditation as well as expanding our Arts curriculum. Throughout the school year, a variety of projects and events will take place including a weekly Art Challenge.
