Our priority is to ensure our school remains a safe place for pupils, staff, visitors and all members of our school community. Please take time to read this page which is designed to help you understand the measures in place to protect our pupils and to inform you of health, safety and security protections at Hope View School.
What is Safeguarding?
Everyone on our school premises has a duty of care towards the welfare and safety of our the children in our school. Safeguarding means:
- Protecting children from abuse and maltreatment.
- Preventing harm to children’s health or development.
- Ensuring children grow up with provision of safe and effective care.
- Taking action to enable all children and young people to have the best outcomes.
We are Here to Help
- You can talk to any adult in the school about anything, do not keep your concerns to yourself; nothing is too small or too big.
- We are here to listen to you, if you have any concerns please contact us on 01227 738000 during school hours.
- If a child is in imminent danger please call the Police on 999 or The Local Authority Front Door Number 03000 411 111 (outside office hours 03000 419 191). If you would like to talk to someone else please read the list of organisations, under “Want to Talk to Someone Else?”.
